At The Healdsburg School, our summer camps are designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and cultivate a love for learning in a fun, engaging environment. We believe that summer should be a time of exploration and growth, where children can immerse themselves in hands-on activities that inspire them. Our teachers design and run camps that reflect the THS culture of joyful learning and meaningful connections.

Summer camps run from early-June to early August, suitable for children of varying ages and interests. Each week features different opportunities, allowing campers to partake in multiple sessions for a diverse experience. THS Summer Bears Musical Camp: Seussical, Kids

Our THS Summer Bears Musical Camp will be Seussical, Kids—a joyful, imaginative, and high-energy musical adventure inspired by the beloved world of Dr. Seuss. Each day, campers will sing, dance, act, and create together as they learn choreography, songs, and scene work while preparing for a fully staged performance at the end of the week, complete with costumes, set design, and camp t-shirts. This camp builds confidence, creativity, and community while having a whole lot of fun.

Seussical, Kids brings together favorite Dr. Seuss characters such as Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, and the tiny Whos of Whoville. As campers follow Horton’s heartfelt journey, they explore themes of kindness, inclusion, teamwork, and standing up for one another. Campers of all ages work together, support one another, and form meaningful friendships as they learn that every role matters and everyone belongs. End-of-Week Performance: Families are invited to attend a final performance on Friday celebrating the campers’ hard work and creativity.

Summer Play Camp!

Join Ms. Ally in the TK/K play space for a joyful week of summer camp fun! In this play-based camp, campers will explore, learn, create, and play through a wide variety of hands-on activities. Each day includes arts and crafts, small-group games, water play, bubble dance parties, yoga and mindfulness, LEGO engineering, and more. Campers will also enjoy a daily Cooking Club—no need to pack a snack from home!
Designed especially for rising K–3 students, Summer Play Camp offers a warm, engaging environment where creativity, curiosity, and connection are at the heart of every day.

Craft, Create, and Imagine!

Join us for a hands-on summer camp where creativity runs wild and every day brings a new masterpiece! Campers will design, build, create, and explore through exciting projects. We’ll wrap up the week with an unforgettable Water Balloon Challenge Course full of teamwork, laughs, and summer fun.
Perfect for creative campers in grades 4–6 who love to craft, invent, and get a little messy while learning new skills. Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle; a healthy snack will be provided each day.

Art Camp

Join Ann Weber and crew for an exciting, arts-integrated summer camp where creativity meets hands-on exploration. Campers will dive into dynamic design challenges including homemade games, GreenScreen photography, and stop-motion animation. Artists will experiment with paper-making and screen printing using homemade inks, paint with watercolors, sew into burlap, draw with charcoal, and sculpt with wire and clay.
Using both analog and digital tools—including Procreate—campers will work individually and collaboratively to build problem-solving skills, creative confidence, and a deep understanding of a wide variety of materials, from plant dyes to large-scale plywood murals. Each session will feature different activities.

Summer Play Camp — Session Two

This second session of Summer Play Camp follows the same joyful, play-based theme as the first week, with new and different activities to keep the experience fresh for returning campers. Children will explore, learn, create, and play through arts and crafts, small-group games, water play, bubble dance parties, yoga and mindfulness, LEGO engineering, and more—including daily Cooking Club (no need to pack a snack!).
Designed for rising K–3 students, this four-day session offers the same warm, engaging environment and camp structure as the original week, adjusted for the holiday schedule while keeping the fun going strong.

Craft, Create, and Imagine — Round Two!

This second session is packed with even more creativity and making! Campers will dive into new art and design projects using textiles, natural fibers, and a variety of creative materials.
The week wraps up with a camper-created Water Balloon Team Challenge Course full of movement, collaboration, laughter, and summer fun. Perfect for 4th–6th graders who love to imagine, create, and craft. Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle; a healthy snack will be provided each day.

Ms. Rodgers Craft Camp

Rising Kinder – 3rd Graders
July 13–17 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
$400 per participant

Join Kindergarten teacher Amy Rodgers for a joyful, play-based summer camp filled with crafting, creating, baking, cooking, and plenty of play! Campers will explore hands-on projects that spark creativity and curiosity in a warm, engaging environment designed especially for younger learners.
Students should bring a lunch and water bottle; a snack will be provided each day. This camp is a wonderful fit for rising K–3 students who love to make, explore, and learn through play.

Engineering Playground: Rube Goldberg & Beyond
Grades 3–6
July 13–17 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
$450 per participant

Does your child love building, tinkering, and figuring out how things work? In Engineering Playground, campers become inventors as they design and build creative chain-reaction machines inspired by Rube Goldberg. Throughout the week, students explore real engineering and physics concepts while working in teams to test, redesign, and improve their creations. This fast-paced, hands-on camp is especially engaging for upper elementary learners.

Students will: Design and build multi-step Rube Goldberg machines, Explore force, motion, energy, and cause-and-effect, Collaborate with peers to solve engineering challenges. End-of-Week Showcase: Families are invited to watch students demonstrate their machines and explain how they work.

Young Scientists Discovery Camp
Grades K–3
July 20–24 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
$450 per participant

Young Scientists Discovery Camp is a joyful, hands-on science experience designed especially for younger learners. Each day is filled with exciting experiments, movement, and exploration that spark curiosity and build confidence. Students learn by doing—asking questions, making predictions, and discovering how the world around them works through guided play and age-appropriate investigations.

Students will: Conduct fun science experiments and investigations, Explore topics such as motion, color, nature, and simple chemistry. Build early science vocabulary and communication skills. End-of-Week Celebration: A mini science showcase where students share favorite experiments and discoveries.

Junior Entrepreneurs: Market Day
Grades 3–6
July 20–24 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
$450 per participant

In Junior Entrepreneurs, students turn big ideas into real businesses. Campers work in teams to design a product or service, create a brand, manage a budget, and prepare a pitch—all while building real-world skills in a fun, supportive environment. This camp is a favorite with families because students leave with confidence, leadership skills, and something tangible they created themselves.

Students will: Brainstorm and design a product or service, Create a brand, logo, and marketing plan, Learn basic budgeting, pricing, and financial literacy, Practice public speaking and pitching ideas. End-of-Week Market Day: Students present their businesses in a celebratory, student-led showcase.

Sports Explorers Summer Camp

Join Mrs. Inness for a fun-filled, high-energy camp blending sports, science, art, and teamwork! Campers will explore age-appropriate sports and games—including soccer, basketball, obstacle courses, relay races, and parachute play—with a focus on participation, confidence-building, and fun.
Each day also includes hands-on science experiments and sports-themed art projects, plus kid-friendly snacks. The week wraps up with a Mini Olympics and joyful closing ceremony.

Plant Your Plate Camp

Join Ms. Monteiro in the THS Garden for a hands-on, nature-filled summer camp focused on creativity, food, and outdoor exploration. Campers will care for the garden, create art with natural and found materials, play movement-based games, and enjoy simple food experiences connecting what we grow to what we eat.
This camp offers a joyful blend of gardening, art, movement, and mindful exploration—perfect for students who love learning outdoors through hands-on experiences.

TK & Kinder Jump Start Camp

TK/Kinder Jump Start Camp is designed to help students feel comfortable, confident, and excited for school in the fall. Campers will practice simple school routines, enjoy small-group time, and explore hands-on learning centers in a warm, supportive environment.
Children will build fine and gross motor skills, make new friends, and grow their independence while easing into the rhythms of school life.

Arts and Crafts: Young artists will have the chance to experiment with various mediums, from painting and sculpture to mixed media. The focus is on self-expression and discovery, allowing campers to create memorable pieces to take home.
