CAROLYN WOOLF

Carolyn Woolf is an independent school leader and philanthropic strategist with more than two decades of experience advancing mission-driven organizations across the United States, Canada, and Europe. She currently serves as Assistant Head of School at Marin Montessori School, where she oversees external relations, advancement, and key operational functions in support of the school’s long-term sustainability and growth.

In addition to her work in schools, she is the founder of Woolf Philanthropic & Leadership Consulting, where she advises higher education institutions in Europe and global nonprofit organizations, bringing a broad and strategic perspective to leadership.

She holds a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Philanthropy from Indiana University. She is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) and a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), and completed the School Management and Leadership program at Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School.

Carolyn lives in Sausalito with her husband and two daughters. She is deeply connected to the natural world and can often be found hiking, camping, or swimming in the Bay.
