Our Admission Philosophy

At The Healdsburg School, we believe that children are natural, curious, and excited learners.  To capture this enthusiasm and zest for learning, and thereby fostering a love of lifelong learning, THS has designed a school curriculum that is integrated, experiential, interactive and meaningful to learners of all ages.

Recognizing that each student has many gifts to offer, THS is committed to enrolling:

  • Students who exemplify a wide range of talents
  • Students who will embody our core values of compassion, respect, and integrity
  • Students who have the capacity and motivation to thrive in a challenging and interactive academic program.

Since family involvement is central to our program, we seek parents who endorse the school’s mission and philosophy and who, through their time and contributions, actively support the school’s goals and aspirations.

As a school with a deep commitment to the community of which we are a part, THS is dedicated to enrolling a student body that reflects the economic, ethnic, and religious diversity of the North Bay Area. We offer tuition support to promote the diversity we seek to embody.

We are dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, inclusive community for children, families, and staff of any race, color, gender, nationality, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation. This dedication in turn promotes the vital sense of connection and service that THS commits to the local, national and international communities in which we live.
