The approach to tuition support at The Healdsburg School is consistent with our mission.  Rich with diversity, the residents of Sonoma County are ethnically, economically, culturally, and geographically varied. THS is committed to enrolling a student body that represents all residents of Sonoma County.

The Healdsburg School is dedicated to working with families to help them meet the expenses of an independent school education.  THS offers tuition support grants to families from all income levels, including middle income families. Tuition support grants are used to offset tuition costs and do not need to be paid back.  Tuition assistance is available on the basis of demonstrated need.  If you believe that your resources are not sufficient to meet the total costs of The Healdsburg School education, you are encouraged to apply.

THS has partnered with the Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) for the current school year. TADS provides a framework through which individual household need can be measured fairly and equitably.  Recommendations from TADS are used by The Healdsburg School to determine the amount of the tuition support grant. Final notices of grant amounts will be mailed with each student's enrollment contract.

Determination of tuition support grants will depend on the following:

  • Availability of tuition support resources from the school
  • Completion of TADS on-line application, available starting on October 1, 2011
  • Submission of application and supporting documents to TADS by January 21, 2012 (see below)

Please Note:

  • Applicants applying after the deadline will be considered if funds are still available.
  • All grants are for one year; grants must be reapplied for each year by all families.
  • All submitted documents are confidential.
  • Grant notices will be mailed with enrollment contracts on February 15, 2012 for current students and March 1, 2012 for new students.
  • If the TADS $34.00 application fee is in any way a hardship for your family, please contact the Director of Admissions, Cristin Talley, to receive a waiver.
